Our Project
At Adventerra Games, we’re on a mission to teach little ones daily actions for a greener future with our educational eco games. Ocean conservation is critical for sustainable development, so we wanted to introduce kids to the impact of plastic pollution on marine animals and their habitat. What better way to do it than with an exciting board game, completely plastic-free and carefully produced to minimize our impact on the planet, like all of our games and puzzles?
For this project, we wanted to partner with a recognized leader who actually made a difference in the field, so we turned to The Ocean Cleanup nonprofit.
With their endorsement, we developed a fun game familiarizing children with water pollution and empowering them to reduce their plastic consumption.
In addition to educating the next generation, part of the game sales proceeds will also go to The Ocean Cleanup and directly support their efforts on the ground.
WHY DO THE OCEANS NEED US?
The oceans produce half of the oxygen we breathe, regulate Earth’s temperature, and support most of our planet’s biodiversity. Unfortunately, human activities are threatening our seas, which are affected by global warming, overfishing and pollution.
Litter floating on the surface of the oceans, washed up on beaches and
lying on the seabed is damaging the marine ecosystem.
More than 700 species are at risk because of plastic pollution in the marine environment. How you can help make the ocean a healthier place for all life that benefits from it?
FACTS ABOUT THE OCEAN…
ABOUT THE OCEAN CLEANUP
The Ocean Cleanup nonprofit is developing advanced technologies to rid the oceans of plastic, stemming the flow of debris through rivers and cleaning up what has already accumulated in the ocean. Plastic will then be re-used to create sustainable products and fund further cleaning, making the entire process circular.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
If no action is taken, plastic will increasingly damage our ecosystems, threatening marine life and human health. Solutions to this challenge include innovative technologies, as well as the involvement of citizens worldwide from a young age. Parts of the game sales proceeds will go directly to The Ocean Cleanup to support its mission and activities.
